- Not really a brigade per se
- Size varies constantly
- Can take temporary command of other units for use in exercises
- Tough to get into
- Try anything that might give you an edge, regardless of the downside - from sharp-sticks to nukes to harsh language
- Experimental designs as well as tactics
- Creative thinkers only - outside the box - challenge assumptions and preconceptions
- Independent unit with own Quarter Master personnel and facilities
- Members usually rotate through, leaving and returning to their original units after 1-5 year rotations. There are exceptions
- Multi-disciplinary - includes all branches of military including reserves, navy, civil defense, and intelligence service
- Becomes the Experimental Combat Division with 3 brigades after Operation Osiris - 1st (orginal ECB), 2nd (Clan Crimson Hawk), 3rd (Opposing Force)
